The mountains are scheduled to open from November 29th to April 12th this winter, subject to weather conditions.

It is worth keeping an eye on the Grandvalira website / Twitter page.
From what I can see they have the snow cannons on and are aiming for this weekend however will not be able to make a definite decision until Wednesday. -
The plan is the have part of Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig open this weekend, but we'll update our weather page once this is confirmed, hoepfully tomorrow.

The area is opening 35km of slopes tomorrow
And yes the school is open whenever the mountain is open.
