    • December Skiing - Weather

      Hi there

We are looking to book for the dates 12th December - 19th December 2014, the current forecasts say no snow for 7 days, but am i right in thinking the aim is to have the resort open at the end of this month (November?).

Is it worth waiting till we book to check the weather, or can it be generally reliable in that there will be some snow?

Also, for ski pass and equipment rental is there any discount for students? We are all aged 21-22.

      Thanks
      Tj
    • Hi TJ

There's snow on the forecast for this weekend, and still a couple of weeks to go before the mountain is due to open. Temperatures are slowly dropping and snow cannons have already been running, so the intention is still to open at the end of the month, all being well.

It's generally reliable by December 12th, but like pretty much everywhere without a glacier it's down to enough people snow dancing (and maybe a little luck). You may feel happier waiting a week or so before you book, but then you might miss out on cheaper travel by booking now.

Unfortunately there aren't any student discounts off lift passes or ski hire but u to 25 years you get 10% off shared transfers. For lift passes and equipment we have pre-booking offers eg. 25% off rental equipment, and lift pass with lunch offers, all available to book online.

    • Hi Steve,

Ok thanks for that, we are going to go ahead and book now to save costs from going up.

Quick one about transfers, it says theres extra transfer runs from the 1st december, are there times for these to look at? Also, what is the difference between Andorra T1 and T2? We are staying in Ransol so assume we need to get to El Tarter?

      Thanks
      Tj
    • Hi TJ

T1 and T2 are the terminals at Barcelona airport - so whichever terminal you are landing at, as the bus picks up at T1 first then at T2, then sets off to Andorra.

The extra transfer during winter is the one marked with a star, leaving T1 at 22:00/T2 at 22:15.

Yes, choose El Tarter on the calculator, then when you select your drop off on the next step you can choose Ransol, although the bus doesn't go up into Ransol village, it drops at the roundabout for Ransol on the main road.
