    • Changing conditions

Hi can anyone help. We're staying in Soldeu and arriving on the 16th March and been very excited about all the great snow and conditions that the area has had until recently. I've noticed that over the last couple of days it's warmed up quite abit and the forecast appears to be for that to continue. Is there anyone in the know that can tell me how good/bad the pistes might be by then if the weather continues as it is.
    • Hi

The slopes are in great condition but as it's now coming into spring it's normal that we are going to have warmer weather. We've got a great base down and recently lots of new fresh snow. The days are the best now the sun has come out to enjoy it all in, these are typical Andorran ski days. The mountain do a great job at pisting the slopes and looking after them and they are always in the best condition.

    • conditions for w/c 7th April? will they still be OK to ski down to Soldeu?

      Hi Folks,
Am coming out next week on 7th April for 6 days and praying for good snow, but looks to be gettting warm & wet so not sure if its worth ordering all my kit hire in advance. So - 2 questions for you as follows 1) can one get refunds on lift passes etc if there is no snow? and 2) does anyine have an idea how the snow will be 7-14 April? With many thanks, Prent
    • Hi Prent

April skiing is always a risk as it's very late in the season, however still very good coverage and 90% open. There's up to two metres of snow, so whilst if there is some rain the conditions might not be great to ski in, there would still be snow and the mountain would normally still be open. That being said, the forecast is very changeable so don't rely on the forecast and keep checking back.

If you rent skis in advance you get 25% discount. You can cancel before you collect and there is a 15% cancellation fee. After you collect then there isn't a refund if you don't use it, but if the mountain was closed then you would usually be able to claim on your travel insurance.

For lift passes, the cancellation fee depends on the type of pass and how far in advance you cancel, and if it's at least 48 hours in advance then it's just the 15% cancellation fee. Once collected there isn't a refund of days you don't use it, but if the mountain is closed a day then you can use your lift pass to claim a free day next winter. Again you would usually claim on your travel insurance.
